Editorial Policy

How we make money, and what that means for you.

Trust depends on transparency about incentives. This page exists so you can audit ours before you act on a single word we publish.

Revenue model

SquareMind is an independent real estate advisory. We do not earn commissions from buyers. Our revenue comes from two sources:

  1. Paid advisory engagements with investors who want our hands-on help beyond the free strategy session.
  2. Builder partnerships, where the builder pays us for distribution to investors who, after our independent due diligence, want to consider their projects. We do not take a buyer-side commission in these cases.

Whenever a post mentions a project or builder we have a commercial relationship with, we tag the post with a disclosure block. Posts without that tag have no commercial relationship behind them.

Editorial independence

Builder partnerships do not influence our analysis. The 7-Point Due Diligence Framework is applied to every project the same way. If a partner builder fails it, we say so. If a non-partner builder passes, we say so. Our long-term value to investors collapses the moment we let commercial relationships shape our verdicts.

When we publish news on a partner builder, we add a disclosure inline with the relevant section.

Our content guardrails

  • Every post is written, drafted, or edited by a named human advisor. We use AI tools for outlining and first drafts. AI does not make the final call on facts, analysis, or verdicts.
  • Every quantitative claim cites a primary source. Most posts include a Sources section at the bottom.
  • Every post is run through a plagiarism check before publication. Repeated phrases above the threshold trigger a rewrite.
  • Every post older than 90 days is reviewed and either updated or retired. The “last reviewed” date is visible at the top of every post.
  • We do not publish AI-generated photographs.

Regulatory positioning

SquareMind operates as an advisory firm, not as a real estate broker. We do not earn or accept buyer-side commissions on any property transaction. We do not solicit deposits or sell investment products in our own name.

Real estate is regulated in India by RERA at the state level. We are not the seller of any property and are not a RERA-registered agent of any specific project unless explicitly disclosed on that project's page. SEBI Investment Adviser regulations do not apply to real estate advisory. We do not provide advice on listed financial securities.

We are not lawyers, chartered accountants, or licensed financial planners. Tax and legal posts are educational. Always validate your specific situation with a qualified professional before acting.

News repurposing rules

In our Tri-City news pillar we report on filings, notifications, and announcements from primary sources including state RERA authorities, GMADA, PUDA, HSVP, and local press. Our rules:

  • We summarise and analyse. We do not republish builder press releases verbatim.
  • Every news post links to its primary source.
  • We add original commentary on what the development means for an investor.
  • We do not run paid placements as news. If a piece is sponsored, it is labelled as such.

Privacy and data

Lead form submissions are stored in our private database (Supabase) and used only to schedule and deliver the consultations you book. We never sell, share, or rent your contact details. See our privacy policy for the full detail.

Corrections and feedback

If you find an error in any of our analysis, email hello@squaremind.in. We will correct, append, or retract within five business days, with the change logged on the post.
